About the W.O.W. Initiative
Wellness On Wheels (W.O.W.) was created to make health and nutrition easy and accessible for everyone, especially for those who face barriers to healthcare and healthy food access. Through neighborhood-based outreach events, participants receive:
- Free blood pressure and A1C screenings
- Personalized wellness education and health tracking
- Healthy groceries twice per month
- Practical tools to improve lifestyle habits and reduce stress
We’re proving that consistent access to healthy groceries and preventive care can transform lives—physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Each event empowers participants to take charge of their own health through consistent support, accountability, and encouragement from our volunteers, nurses, and nutrition partners.
This collaboration among HIM Food Bank, Central Storehouse, and Under The Bridge Ministries is a model of how faith-based and community organizations can work together to transform lives through preventive care, compassion, and dignity.
Our Impact
Since launching the W.O.W. program, the results have been remarkable:

210
Participants completed 5–6 months of continuous care
91%

42

Many reported better sleep, improved mood, and reduced stress
Beyond the numbers, each success represents a person now living with more hope, more energy, and a greater understanding of how nutrition and self-care can change their future.
